Creative writing feedback
Anthology of Short Stories set in the Algarve. We are currently hoping to put together an anthology of short stories set in the Algarve. The aim is to provide a snapshot of life in the Algarve. If you are an established writer and would like to submit a short story (any genre considered) between 500 - 5000 words, please do so to before end of April 2008.

Lisa has been involved in all levels of creative writing assessment for 10 years and offers feedback in creative writing (particularly prose fiction, script and screen writing and memoir). Anyone may submit their work electronically, including beginning writers whose first language is not English.
Short story/memoir (3,000 words max.) - €30 (or £23)
Longer fiction (first 3 chapters plus synopsis 15,000 words max.) - €65 (or £50)
Complete manuscript (up to 80,000 words) - €210 (£160)
For this you will receive a detailed report together with comments on your manuscript. The main narrative points covered are structure, character, point of view, research, dialogue, description and general use of language. Depending on your priorities, advice will be given in order to maximise your chances of publishing. We can also offer help self-publishing using Lulu - an independent print-on-demand publisher.
If you are in the Algarve, one to one tuition based around your individual needs as a writer is also available. An initial tutorial to determine your aims is offered free of charge. Thereafter, the cost is 25 euros per hour. You may submit up to 2,000 words for discussion each tutorial.
